In a sidebar accompanying today's USA Today piece on financial advice from hip-hop's finest, former Destiny's Child crooner LeToya Luckett offers this gem:
"Pay your tithe to whomever it may be to. Don't worry about what the preacher's going to do with that money. Is he gonna buy a new helicopter or a new car? Don't worry about that. ... Do what God sent you here to do."
One might think getting kicked out on her ass and screwed out of millions by Beyoncé's pops would have made shortie a bit more skeptical about blindly handing over control of her finances to substitute father figures. But then, I suppose P.T. Barnum had a saying about folks like this...
